ABOUT RUBY
Trauma Aware Tattoo Artist Specializing in Scar Cover-Ups

A Philadelphia based tattoo artist, Ruby combines a love for flora and fauna with her background in Graphic Design to provide an incredibly unique experience for her clients. By choosing to work with only one person a day, it gives her the opportunity to craft beautiful, form fitting pieces, carefully designed to accentuate the natural curves of the body. Her glamorization of skulls, insects, flowers, animals and herbs, primarily in blackwork with an emphasis on clean lines, stippling and the occasional burst of bold antique colors are reminiscent of 1700’s naturalists and scientific illustrators.
Ruby's passion for creating an unforgettable experience coupled with a quickly developed reputation for her specialization in scar cover-ups, has produced a focus on creating a safe, inclusive environment with a trauma-informed, accessibility approach and a nonprofit to help raise awareness .
Every month as a part of her scar cover-up project, "Out of the Darkness" she offers one free scar cover-up to survivors of abuse and those recovering from self-harm. Navigating her own journey of self-acceptance as a neurodivergent, Ruby aims to help reduce stigma associated with mental health and neurological differences by working to improve education in personal care industries.
